TopRockInternet.com is now ranked inside the top 10 in both yahoo and bing for internet marketing expert in denver. As previously written, we launched the website without the proper meta-title in place on the home page. As a result, internet marketing expert in denver was cached into bing.com and yahoo.com instead of the meta title we had intended to use. Lesson here is not to launch a website and make it publicly known until you have double checked your work!
Currently the site sits at number one in Yahoo for internet marketing expert in denver and number 7 in bing for the same keyword string. For those of you who have an interest in on-page seo (in denver or beyond), this should tell you loud and clear the value of the meta title. There are definitely many other factors that play into rankings for yahoo and bing, but one of the most important factors is your title tag.
Obviously, the competition for this niche keyword is not going to be substantial. However, there is definitely an internet marketing or seo company or two who are targeting this term. This makes the competition inside of the top 30 more difficult when compared to other 4 or 5 word keyword strings.
On a side note, google has yet to index our site since it was officially launched on February 16th, 2010. The last visit was done on February 15th. We are expecting to get a full cache of the site into google within the next 3 days. We are not expecting a high ranking until we are able to conduct a reasonable link building campaign to go along with our on-page seo. Google generally appreciates link building more than on-page seo and content.
